Spotlight On… CODE Model Coaching™
Some of you know intimately what The CODE Model™ is, either as a client or a facilitator. Far beyond a practice or yet another technique, it is a framework for enquiry that awakens and evokes the ‘wave’ of transformation that we all seem to be so desperately seeking. Going far beyond ‘fixing’ or ‘diagnosing’ a problem, The CODE Model allows us to ‘use’ the problem as a gateway for so much more.
Hand-in-hand with the WEL-Systems® body of knowledge and its remarkable journey of accelerated personal evolution, The CODE Model has quickly, easily and profoundly awakened presence, redefined tissue and eliminated challenges of body, mind and spirit. With Quantum TLC™ as the evidence of the ‘wave’ in flow, outcomes are inextricably linked to our willingness to be fully alive!
Many who are already credentialed in their field of practice as coaches, counsellors, therapists, etc. have expressed curiosity about what The CODE Model is and how it can make a difference – not just for their clients but for themselves. How do we stay well when our days are filled with the absence of ‘well’ in the lives of so many? How do we stay true to ourselves yet willing and able to engage with others when our own lives are filled with the challenges that are an essential part of our humanity? How do we remain open, clear, honest and direct with ourselves, our clients and the people who matter most to us?
Now, you can find out what it’s all about with minimum effort! The CODE Model™ - Part I: A New Way to Engage is a new, 2-CD set that connects the WEL-Systems® body of knowledge, The CODE Model™ and Quantum TLC™ in a way that lays out what’s possible for yourself and in your work with others. A live recording of a workshop facilitated by Louise LeBrun – creator of this remarkable approach to accelerated human evolution – this compelling overview makes the connection clear: CODE Model Coaching is not just about solving a problem – it’s about using a problem like a homing beacon back to Self. CODE Model Coaching is a gateway to a reclamation of Self; to a re-awakening of potential and possibility; and to a capacity for creation and manifestation.
Let your curiosity be your guide. Let your commitment to your own evolution take you through the gateway to a new paradigm.
Spotlight On… 2009: Emerging Potential
The beginning of a new year is, for many, the cue to take charge of our lives! Resolutions – whether singularly or in clusters – take shape in an effort for our lives to change their shape whether in body, mind or spirit. And yet, despite our declared commitment, often desperate hopes and all of our best efforts, these resolutions often dissolve into yet another piece of evidence to justify our own self-loathing. The line of enquiry usually goes something like, ‘What’s wrong with me?!” or ‘What’s wrong with the world?!’ or ‘Why can’t I do anything right?!” Familiar? Yes. Useful? No!
This year, give yourself a break. Rather than seek to mold, shape, pound and pummel your life into shape (like taking the proverbial bull by the horns and slamming it, head first, into the guard rails!) try something different. Try relaxing. Try letting go. Try opening yourself to how life can be lived when you trust the genius of how you’re living now, not to determine that it’s good/bad, right/wrong but to discover what it offers and presents for your own evolution; to discover the genius that underlies all behaviors as the invitation that is being offered for you to live differently.
Consider replacing resolutions, struggle, will power and determination with inviting, allowing, discovering and emerging. Consider allowing your mind, your heart, your wisdom and your knowledge to open and expand. You don’t have to choose anything. You just have to let things wash over you and see what comes up. Surprisingly for many and familiarly for some, the power of this process transforms lives.
The Holiday Season if often quickly followed by the blunt reality of our lives. Rather than collapsing into the ‘usual’ interpretations of ‘depression’, let yourself consider a very different view. Ray Landry knows what he’s talking about. He’s been to hell and back, and is willing to share not only his story with you but his change of heart/mind/soul.
Tired of regretting how you engage with your children? Make time to listen to Amy McNaughton speak to a very different way to parent… parenting for potential. The command-and-control style of parenting has a long legacy of pain and lost possibility. Parenting for potential is an invitation for you to consider that parenting is never about our children – it’s always about us.
Time to let go of your all-grown-up children? Marie Smith can help you discover that it’s not about them – it’s about you! When you choose yourself and begin to carve out a life that is meaningful for you and to you, their lives change, too – and for the better.
This time, don’t start your New Year with the desire to move away from all the things you don’t like! Give yourself a chance to stop… listen… and discover all that you can grow into. Take a chance on doing it differently this year and discover where you end up. It may not be about knowing the destination. It may be about being willing to allow what you need to emerge, trusting that you are innately an expression of the godforce in a physical universe. Then, when you wake up tomorrow, ask yourself: ’How does the godforce that I AM choose to live today?”
Happy New Year!
Spotlight On… Celebration of Life!
It’s amazing how quickly time passes! In one breath, the year begins and in the long, slow exhalation that is our lives, it is coming to an end. Soon, the cycle will begin anew, welcoming a gateway to a new and more powerful way of being in our lives and in our world… if we so choose.
As essential as breathing is to our very existence, it is also a metaphor for living. We inhale, discover, grow, expand. We exhale, and as we do, we live what we’ve become, and in doing so acquire the wisdom that only living can bring. We inhale again and this time, we bring into ourselves all that we have already learned from living… mingling with our dreams and intentions and insights… and once again, we are invited to live differently, live more fully and allow ourselves to embrace the joy of being who we are. And on and on it goes….
Not only is breathing essential to our very being, its metaphor is equally essential to our evolution. If we do not evolve, we will not become who we are destined to be.
The notion of celebration comes to mind as I write these thoughts. Celebrating life! Celebrating the very act of breathing in and breathing out, knowing that without breathing, we cease to be. It causes me to wonder: where else in my life am I not noticing all that there is for me to celebrate? Where else in my life am I steeped in what I don’t have rather than luxuriating in what I do? Where else in my life have I overlooked the magnificence of ‘being’ and become entangled in the demands of ‘doing’?
I wrote this piece on Celebration in 2007. I was drawn back to it as I considered these thoughts and determined this piece to be timeless; and one that offers a gentle reminder at this very busy time of year.
I invite you to take a moment… to let yourself sit back and take a few long, slow and deep breaths… and allow yourself to remember all that brings meaning into your life. You might be surprised to discover how much ‘cheese’ there is in your life and that in truth, the holes don’t matter much.
Have a wonderful, safe and magical Holiday Season!
Thoughts on – Celebration
by: Louise LeBrunThis particular topic has required more attention from me than usual. More effort. More ’struggle’. When I am faced with such an experience, I find myself becoming more and more curious. It has been a long time since I’ve let go of the need for struggle so when it reappears, my instincts tell me that there is an opportunity here for a rediscovery….or reclamation….or a revelation.
To appease my logical need for data, I turned to the dictionary and discovered the Latin celebrare means ‘to frequent’ or ‘fill’. (No matter how hard we try, we can never seem to get by without the ancient sounds that formed the platform for our communication. Perhaps there is more wisdom here than we realize.) Surprised, I found myself pondering what would likely be the ’standard’ thoughts that one would associate with the word ‘celebration’. Thoughts of parties, people, laughter, music, food and, usually, more food! Perhaps even applause and awards. Dressing up. Sleeping too little and eating/drinking too much! Images of people engaged in conversations with other people….in pairs and in small groups….or even bearing witness to a stage performance as one seated among the many.
The next thoughts that streamed were images of a small group … a family … seated around a table, about to enjoy the fruits of the fall harvest. Smells of turkey and pumpkin pie wafting through the air. Or perhaps visions of gently falling snow and the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree. Excited children straining to sit quietly – even if for a moment – as the unwrapped toys await the return of their attention.
Or perhaps a couple, standing side by side at the front of the church, bold in their intentions and yet reaching out to gently touch one hand to another. Filled with the excitement – and trepidation – of a life once journeyed alone and about to be harnessed as two. Long white dress. Crisp pleats in dark suit pants. White shirts and ties and boutonnieres. And in the soft candle light of the church, friends and family bear witness to the coming together of one of the greatest forces in the world: the flow of two, standing as one, to create the many. And life goes on….
Small children at play. Four candles on a cake, with one small breath about to make its mark. Boxes in brightly colored paper…with bows and ribbons…piled high, each precariously perched, awaiting the attention of its new owner. And who can forget ‘Pin the Tail on the Donkey’ and the strange places to which the pin would make its way. Stand back! Or you may become the Donkey.
Or perhaps that very first birthday. One high chair, one chocolate cake … and two small hands, delighting in the feel of gliding through frosting … and its amazing ability to stick one thing to another. Eyes wide, hands pulling and tugging…and – miracle that it is – the expert guiding of such a large chunk of cake into such a small mouth! Even NASA would marvel at such an exquisite display of docking expertise. Flashes of light from the camera that so lovingly captures the moment…to be celebrated over and over again.
That magical day of arrival. The birth of the first child…or the second… or the fifth. Even with repetition, the magic never fades. Each the beginning of a wondrous journey that will bear the unique mark of its creator. Timeless. Even the memory takes your breath away. It seems like only months ago … and look at them now.
Celebrations all. Each unique in its form, its structure, its offerings and its intentions. Each calling forth a hope, a dream, a moment of gratitude. And yet, what is often overlooked in the small silence of its expression is that moment – or those series of moments – that fill us from the inside and happen frequently, from one day to the next.
Like a fine mist, easily overlooked unless you’re watching for it. The smile from the gas station attendant. The concerned and thoughtful questions of the pharmacist. The patience of the traveler behind us as we return from our daydream long after the light has changed. The waitress in the coffee shop who remembers how you like your bagels. The receptionist in the dentist’s office who takes a moment to explain to you that your dentist will be late, and offers you a magazine. The stranger in the hospital waiting room who entertains your energetic and restless youngster while you await the results. The pedestrian who stops and makes it possible for you to dart through, just ahead of the endless line of cars.
These too are celebrations. Frequently occurring moments that – if we pay attention to them and honor them – fill our hearts and touch our souls. Moments in which whatever we’re wearing, whoever we’re with, is just perfect for the occasion. Moments that invite us to feel what it is to be one human being, in our ordinary-ness, in the presence of another equally ordinary human being, in the creation of a magical moment. If this is not cause for celebration, I don’t know what is!
Spotlight On… Decloaking 5-Day Intensive
Decloaking… and living authentically changes lives! It has changed the lives of those women who moved through it and it has changed my life every single time that I’ve shared this experience with others.
The Decloaking experience has evolved over the years into its current 5 day intensive format. There are no prerequisites or pre-study material to review. Each day is an invitation for women to explore the WEL-Systems context for living, their lives and who they are capable of becoming in a safe, life-enriching environment. The experience is designed for immediate results with each day filled with laughter, sometimes tears and always, processes that work. What we have been taught and are being told daily is often incomplete, not recognizing the changes being discovered within the quantum sciences. It is becoming widely recognized that we are Quantum Biological Humans – beings of energy far more capable than we have ever imagined or considered! This 5 day experience enables a level of engagement only possible in a WEL-Systems context.
Decloaking is now being facilitated by Sheila Winter Wallace and Amy McNaughton. Both certified CODE Model Coaches™ with significant life and professional experience, I trust completely that future programs will continue to offer the huge invitation for personal discovery and accelerated growth that have become synonymous with a WEL-Systems® experience. Their humor, compassion and commitment to their own ongoing evolution is what makes them stand out as living expressions of the very things they share with others. ’Being’ a living expression of the change we seek is essential to our own ability to awaken it in others.
Both Sheila and Amy will be creating and facilitating Decloaking in their communities. Initially, Sheila will be offering this experience in Ottawa, ON and San Jose, CA while Amy will be starting in Halifax, NS.
Contact Amy or Sheila directly for more information; or get to know them, in person, as they join me for the new one-day offering of Emerging Futures: A Day of Discovery in Ottawa, October 5th and in Halifax, October 26th.
Sheila and Amy are also regular contributors to the Women Gathering blog, along with me and Susan Bremner. Check out their blog entries to get a sense of how they move through their world; and how they’ll move through yours, with you, as you seek to make the changes you’ve long been waiting for!

Spotlight On: A Day of Discovery
A new one-day Emerging Futures experience for women is now available!
Emerging Futures: A Day of Discovery is an invitation to be part of a gathering of women who either are already awake to their own potential – and want to stay awake! – or who are seeking to awaken. Either way, this day of discovery will open doors to new thoughts, new intentions and new ways of moving through the world.
For almost 30 years, Louise has been working with others for their own evolution. What makes her so effective? The fact that she is committed to living a life of ongoing discovery for herself; and that her capacity to engage with others is shaped by her unwavering willingness and ability to go where the journey leads and to do what it takes to get there.
Since late 2006, Louise has chosen to work with women. Her deep commitment to women comes from her unshakable belief that women are the key to a very different future… and a very different world. In order for this reality to manifest, it becomes imperative to discover those women who know instinctively that life has so much more to offer! Possibility and potential are forces to be awakened inside ourselves, to be embraced rather than harnessed, and to flow through our lives as a way of being – not as tools for doing. Instinctively, women know this.
Not all women have the desire to awaken to a different and more powerful expression of themselves. With power comes impact; and with that impact comes response-ability and the innate knowing that power is the essence of who we are in the world. After all, women are still the force that allows new life to come into expression.
Emerging Futures: A Day of Discovery is an opportunity for women to awaken to more of who they can become! It’s an invitation to engage… and look around… and notice how many other women are ready, too! It’s a safe space within which to discover just how powerful women can be; and to discover the depth of your own desire to be awake, alive and fully engaged!
Register now for the Halifax offering on Sunday, October 26/08. Watch Louise’s schedule for dates in other locations. New programs will be added in the coming months.
If you want to create A Day of Discovery in your area, contact Louise directly to explore how to make that happen.
Spotlight On: New Leadership CD’s Will Change Your Life!
This is one leadership conversation guaranteed to keep you awake!
As tired as many of us may be of the leadership conversation and the way it unfolds, don’t give up hope. Far beyond what you may already know about leadership, this exploration will keep you glued to your speakers as you anticipate the next CD! Not only will you be informed and entertained, far more than that, this provocative material will:
- awaken your spirit as it feeds your hungry soul;
- stretch your mind and your sense of Self as you brush off the dust of group-think, habit and routine; and
- provoke your sense of adventure and curiosity about a new way of stepping up to the plate and living leadership in a way that matters to you.

The Leadership Redefined – Reclaimed CD Set was recorded live at a four-day Emerging Futures retreat. Designed to capture the flow of genius as it is moving, these powerful conversations are not planned, structured or scheduled but simply emerge from the truth of the moment, in the experience of each participant.
The things that often matter most are the ones that we’re unsure about saying out loud for fear of being judged or appearing ‘out of step’ with the world – but not in this conversation! This leadership exploration will lead you out of the box of your own and your corporate history, and invite you to completely redefine ‘leadership’ as a meaningful expression of yourself; and then guide you to the practical discovery of how to live it.
Feedback from delighted clients includes:
- “I just can’t get enough!”
- “Every time I listen, I hear something new… and this is my fourth pass!”
- “Finally, a leadership conversation that is making a difference!”
To read more, see the Feedback page.
The front line of expression of leadership is the state of our own lives. These CD’s take you there… to the very core of determining who you are in the world and how you want to design your life. It doesn’t get much more personal than that! And from there, you explore how to move out into your community, your work and your relationships as a meaningful and living expression of leadership… without losing yourSelf.
Are you ready to step up to the plate of leadership in your own life? Here’s how to start:
- Order your set of 10-CD’s and start your exploration with finding out more about YOU!
- When you’ve listened to them, share the CD’s and your Leadership experience with someone you care about. Think of how your conversations will be enriched when you can now talk with each other at much more meaningful levels of exploration. Ideal for corporate groups!
- Take the time to notice and capture your own evolution by sending your feedback to Feedback@WEL-Systems.com. Who knows what lives may be changed because you were willing to engage?
- Be the leader you already know you are! Become the attractor for your own small group, gathering… to explore how to create and live a more powerful and meaningful life. Leadership Redefined – Reclaimed will change how we think about, talk about and live leadership far beyond a role we play or a cloak we wear. In fact, it’s already begun….
Spotlight On: Women Fully Alive!
Over the more than 20 years that I’ve been working with women, I’ve been consistently amazed at their courage and willingness to do what it takes to get to where they want to go! No challenge too great; no obstacle impassable… year after year, women have been stepping up to the plate and discovering how to live more meaningful and powerful lives. Now, I’ve designed a way for them to do this that will give them the results they’re looking for, in a more easily accessible format and much shorter period of time.

The new, two-day Women Fully Alive! program is an experience you won’t want to miss! Designed to offer what women have been asking for, this is a great opportunity to have a brief introduction to the WEL-Systems approach to a new paradigm for living… AND spend two days experiencing all those wonderful, magical guided reflections, meditations and inductions!
In all the years that I’ve been working with women, the most powerful moments have always come from ‘the wave’ in flow. This two-day is designed and intended to ensure that the wave is in flow… over and over again!… so that by the end of the two days, your body is ready to launch into a new way of being. And we all, already, know: a new way of being always precedes a new way of doing anything differently!
Women really are the key to a very different future. Women’s lives touch and intermingle with so many other lives : their partners/mates/spouses, past and present, sharing ongoing parenting commitments; their surviving parents, as elder care becomes more of a demand in their lives; their friends and colleagues, as women frequently turn to each other to find an open hand and a welcoming heart; and those in the community – through school and related activities – who are connected to each other through periodic events.
Women are at the core of every culture, tending to the past (our families of origin), the present (caring for the people we love) and the future (dedicating ourselves to parenting our children in a way that we would have wanted to be parented, ourselves!). Women shape lives – their own and that of so many others to whom we connect. Our ability to care of others is never in question. Our ability to take care of ourselves, is. Far too often, we find ourselves at the bottom of a long list, frequently running out of time, energy and interest, letting ourselves fall to the wayside as we fall into a sleep that prepares us to do it all again tomorrow!
Women Fully Alive! is your invitation to do it differently! It’s a combination of new information and masterfully guided experiences that will renew, re-awaken and rekindle a capacity to see through new eyes; choose differently and live a more vibrant and meaningful life. It’s an invitation to devote two-days to your own needs, recognizing that not only will your life be enlivened but so will that of all the people you care about. Combining two days of life-altering experiences with time to regroup will leave you refreshed in body, mind and spirit.

Spotlight On: Hawaii Huna Retreat
It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful setting for a Huna retreat: the softness of the warmth of the sun and the healing waters of the Pacific; the hard edge of the surf pounding against the lava rock that shapes the magnificent Big Island of Hawaii; and the presence of the history of this beautiful land and the lineage of its people. We had it all: the soft and the vulnerable, the powerful and the strong, and the palpable presence of past, present and future as we came together to explore who we might become.
The recent Mauna Lani Experience will be with me for a long time to come! As familiar as Huna has become after living it every day for more than 15 years, this was my first experience of creating a Huna journey (for myself and others) on the very land from which it was birthed. With a deep and ever-growing respect for the people of Hawaii and their culture; and with a reverence for what I’ve learned and become because of this context for living, it was a sacred moment for me to find myself in the company of others, the vibration of my voice in chant filling the same space that has been filled for hundreds/thousands of years with the vibrations of connection to that which is much greater than our physical being.
This Huna Retreat in Hawaii was an amazing experience, not just because we were in Paradise but because we were – to a person – willing and able to trust ourselves and each other. Our conversations rolled effortlessly from one topic to the next, allowing ourselves to be led by the deeper pulls to our own accelerated evolution, charting new waters that would come to shape a magical place of their own. Compelling, life-altering, fun and funny, no subject was off limits as we shared our discovery of how else we might live… of how a new paradigm might become a daily way of life. So potent was this experience that plans were already underway for our return before we had left the Island. I’d say that’s a good sign, and a sign of good things to come!
The luxury property of Mauna Lani Bay Resort and Bungalows was a welcoming haven from the pressures of daily living. With oceanfront property that extends over 62 acres, there is always something new to explore and discover. Ancestral lands continue to be the site of managed fish ponds, doing so in the traditions of the ancients. Taking the time to wander the grounds was well worth the exercise.
“Mauna Lani rests on an ancient ‘ili, or land section, known through the centuries as Kalahuipua’a. It was a place where Kings would come for recreation and elders would gather for worship. This was, and is, a special hallowed place. The ancient royal fishponds are preserved on the grounds to this day. And if you somehow sense the importance of this setting as you stroll by them, you have the understanding for what the Hawaiians call The Spirit of Place.” (http://www.maunalanirealty.com/)
Our time on the Big Island coincided with the continued awakening of Kiluea, the active volcano on the Big Island. The power of the Fire energy of the Island was palpable! The ‘vog’ (fog from volcanic emissions of sulpher) was thick in many places, with relief coming from the arrival of the trade winds to blow things around. However, where we stood, the sky was clear and bright, filled with the gleaming sun that Hawaii is famous for. We stood on sacred ground, with the intention to connect to that which sourced us, and we were without anxiety or discomfort. However, the intensity was felt by all, each in his/her own way.
Some of us had difficulty staying asleep! (Is that a metaphor, or what???) Some of us felt the need to move – to walk, to run, to swim, to engage! Others among us were aware of the degree to which our feelings flowed with intensity, coupled with the tears that were part of that journey. And yet others were filled with a sense of excitement and hope; a sense of anticipation of wonderful things to come! No matter what it was, it was perfect – and each of us came to know and to trust that.
Our four-day conversation began in the good company of Danny Akaka, the Cultural Advisor to the Mauna Lani Bay Resort. A truly humble and gifted man, Danny carries the history of the culture in the very tissue of his being. Always willing to take the time to listen to others and to share himself, Danny
opened our retreat by sharing his knowledge in conversation, in story, in chant and in song. Not one soul was left untouched by the warmth and sincerity of this man who welcomed us to Hawaii and into a journey of discovery of ourselves, through the gift that is Hawaii. Perhaps his greatest gift to us all was to allow us to know ‘aloha’ in his presence rather than to attempt to ‘know’ it through the understanding of the intellect.
We celebrated the completion of our journey with a special day of ‘ohana’ (family) coming together by choice on the water and to feast. Our snorkel and sail left us watered and refreshed; and our Traditional oceanfront Hawaiian Luau at dusk ensured we were entertained and fed like royalty! It was such fun to have come to know so well those who were in the retreat experience, and to share our evolution with the people they loved. Our small and courageous band grew to include their family and friends, ensuring our journey came to a close with shared memories and the desire to continue to grow.
There are many people around the world who teach Huna, many of whom have been long-established in the world of both spiritual practice and teaching. I am often asked how what I do is the same or different from what others are doing. My response is always the same: I don’t teach the technique and practice of Huna. I create safe and welcoming space within which to share with others how my experience of Huna has allowed me to find my Self. In that moment, others are free to choose the path of their own desire – to seek and to find… or not.
Much of how Huna is taught today relies on and offers strength in its technique and practice. My personal discoveries have taught me that ritual and practice are intended to help us remember who we are. There is little or no value in these things in and of themselves when we forget who we are. In comparison, when we remember who we are, ritual and technique become non-essential – sometimes entertaining and always comforting in their habituation but non-essential, nonetheless.
Over the last 15 years, blending what I’ve learned from ancient wisdom and from the new science, my experience of Huna has shown me how to be ‘human’ and live a magical life! In the simplicity of the Three Selves lies a reliable roadmap from the secular to the sacred; from the material and mundane to mastery and magic. This complex yet simple framework offers an accessible gateway of much more. Whether or not we choose to discover, the invitation is always there. It is up to us to determine who and how we will become.
I know we will return to the Big Island and all that it beckons for us to discover. I am grateful and I am humbled. I am awake and enlivened, and I am on Fire with the potential that I carry to create my life in meaningful and abundant ways! And I am a living expression of the intensity that is an essential part of the process of creation and manifestation. As I am all of these, so are you.
To be sure, there is always more….
Aloha!
